Readability : This battle is mostly between tablet and Smartphones as the laptop seems to have a clear cut edge over these two. Tablets provide a better platform through which e-books and magazines. However, the best tool for reading still remains the lap top although with some types of books, the experience tends to be much better when done through the tablet.

Popularity : This is not an easy issue to determine. However, of note is that since the emergence of tablets worldwide, the number of laptops being sold has gone down quite significantly. Laptops now only make up 12% of the entire population of PCs worldwide down from close to 22% which they use to enjoy only a year or two ago.

Remote Access to Servers : This is one area where the laptop still emerges in the first position. It still remains the best tool through which to find uninterrupted access to your remote servers and desktops. Smartphones and tablets do not provide similar abilities.

Depending on where you are located and your line of work, the choice of which device to take or use is entirely your own. Some people are still of the belief that the device they started using is still miles ahead of whatever they have not used. However, for people who desire to keep pace with technological advancements, the best course of action is to have all the three. Each one has its own benefits and may prove handy where the other one is a bit inconveniencing to use.
