The battle between Iphone and Android
When it comes to mobile phones, only two types ever come to mind; iPhones and Android smart phones. The battle between the two has waged on ever since both came out and it seems that it will continue. However, here are a few things to really get you thinking.
App Store
It is no mystery that the app store is one of the biggest attributing reasons for the success of android phones. There are quite literally more apps on the android store than there are on the apple store – over 400,000 to state figures. However, more does not mean better.
Although the android app market may contain over 400,000 apps, it in no way means that it is better. The reason why the Apple store is much better is because it contains high quality apps as opposed to the android market; full of every type of quality apps. It’s not quantity but quality that determines the preference of a market.

Security
Sure, Android phones can be customized in literally a thousand ways but that in no way means that it cannot be used customized in devious ways. If a gun can be used for good and bad, so can an Android phone. The Android operating system itself is open source. There can be many potential “bugs” that hackers can use to access your ‘droid.
The iPhone however has very tight security measures in place that help it to become the most secure consumer phone available. The security implementations within the coding itself help keep the phone extremely secure.
Customizations
When it comes to customizations, yes, Android phones will look scrumptiously superior. The home screen can be fully customized to your taste. However, just because you can does not mean that it is better. Sure it is another option but not every option is good.
By customizing the home screen, all you end up doing is increasing the complexity of your home screen. The choices you can make may be endless but simplicity is usually better. The home screen of the iPhone is quite simple and direct. If the aim of technology is to reduce delays between input and a reaction, iPhones do it well.
Support
Due to the fact that Android is an operating system belonging to Google, if something goes wrong, do not expect your cell phone’s manufacturer to help you – wait for a software fix by Google. When it comes to iPhones, the customer support is self explanatory and is one reason why Apple is dominating the market.
When you look at both, an Android may seem enticing. Although the more the merrier, it is better having a few high quality features than ten mediocre ones.
